This first piece in the Earth Mandala Series begins as a loose exploration. First diluted paint forms an intuitive foundation. The next layer emerges organically, free form. Folded paper , pressed with white paint creates a mirrored spine on the canvas. Nature becomes then collaborator for the third layer. Collected leaves are inked, and stamped on to the surface, their delicate structure captured. The process then takes a geometric turn. Inward, the journey slows, and detail
