Michael Hancock Art

​I’m a painter who explores the concept of connection, both internally and externally.  Inspiration for my work is drawn from a variety of sources.  Visually recognizing organic patterns in nature has led me to integrate geometric patterns into my work, exploring microcosms within macrocosms, and how the two relate.  I create visual imagery that deepens our connection to our environment.  Music has also played a vital role in my artistic practice, providing a creative connection with communities that foster collaborative art.  I’ve participated in over 150 live painting events.  The result is art that challenges how we perceive ourselves, and the world around us.
